This week on Bad Girls Club, it was Mardi Gras, and cast member Tasha spent the entire episode dissing gay people. One of her “best friends” in the house, Shelly, happens to be a lesbian, and this episode we see Tasha continually bash Shelly behind her back for being gay, saying things like “I’ve never met anyone in my life who flaunts their gayness as much as Shelly does. It’s disgusting and wrong”. We also see Tasha refusing to support Shelly by not attending a gay parade that Shelly wants to go to. Instead, Shelly’s enemies in the house go with her, and the girls actually end up having a great time! Later in the episode we see Shelly fighting with anti-gay protesters, and Tasha proclaims how embarrassing Shelly’s gayness is.

In response to the episode, homophobic Tasha posted a blog to address the homophobia she showed on national TV:

Here’s a little advice to Tasha: for someone who says sexual preference has nothing to do with you, you sure have a lot of opinions on other people’s! If you don’t want people to think you’re homophobic, don’t say homophobic things. I certainly hope you don’t SUPPORT your homosexual friends the way you SUPPORTED Shelly, by ripping her to shreds for being gay when she’s not around, dismissing Shelly’s concerns about being uncomfortable and feeling left out, and refusing to be around anything gay related. That is NOT SUPPORT, that is homophobia, and you are a complete bitch. Shame on you!
